The Old Pottery - Etty Bay Accommodation - The Old Pottery & Residence

The ground floor was once a working studio pottery complete with clay mud, kilns, drying racks and potter’s equipment. Redeveloping this area into a chic modern apartment was a real design and construction challenge but the result is quite exceptional.

Much of the original solid stone floor has been retained and links back to the pottery have been incorporated into the modern decor. To open up the living area the old pottery gained a good sized deck and front patio where hammocks can swing under cover of the upstairs verandah. The ocean views are excellent and windows and doors are located on three sides to capture the breeze, day or night.

The kitchen has been built and fitted out to cater for any level of culinary skill up to serious cooks who just love creating wonderful food.

Great attention to detail has been applied to the bathroom and toilet area and fittings to create something special.

The old pottery drying area was the front verandah. This is now two compact bedrooms with custom built-ins. Perfect for single beds but two singles can squeeze in if necessary. Both of these rooms have pleasant ocean views over the patio.
